Sluch: the picturesque pearl of Podillia

Sluch is a river that flows through picturesque corners of Ukraine, dissecting the lands of Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr and Rivne regions. Its 451 kilometers serve as an axis on which the low marshes of Polissia are replaced by the hilly hills of Podillia, and calm meadows alternate with turbulent rapids.

Sluch begins its journey near the village of Chervyn Sluch in Khmelnytskyi. A small stream flowing out of the marshes is gradually filled with the waters of numerous tributaries, turning into a majestic river.

Flowing through picturesque valleys, the Sluch gives life to numerous settlements. Krasyliv, Starokostyantyniv, Lubar, Zvyagel, Sarny are just some of the cities spread out on its shores. Their historic centers and cozy streets charm travelers, and the picturesque scenery of the river gives peace of mind.

The river is the source of life

Sluch is not only a picturesque pearl, but also a source of life for many people . Its waters are used for drinking, irrigation and fishing. There are many species of fish in the river, which makes it a popular place among fishing enthusiasts.

Unfortunately, like many other rivers of Ukraine, Sluch faces ecological challenges. Soil and water pollution, deforestation - all this has a negative effect on the condition of the river and its ecosystem.

Preserving the Slucha is a common cause of all those who live on its banks and love nature. Each of us can make our contribution: do not litter, use environmentally friendly detergents, participate in activities to clean the river.

Sluch is not only a river, it is part of our history, culture and nature. Protect it, because it is our common treasure that we must preserve for future generations.
